It gives me great pleasure to talk about Poets of the fall, the poets of Finland. If you familiar with the PC game Max Payne 2 Im sure you can remember the outro song "late goodbye", it was the very beginning of them. I was waiting for their album and first got their some of their singles ( late goodbye, lift) in late 2004.
Then I finally got their first album Signs of life in 2005. The signs of life was a more than successful album. The album was awarded the Emma Award which is Finland's equivalent for a Grammy, for the Best Debut Album of the Year 2005 and the band was awarded as the Best Newcomer of the Year.

On April 2006 they came out with their new album Carnival of rust and the album sold gold only three weeks after being released and went Platinum on this December 2006.

Let me now tell about these poets a bit. The Vocal Marko (Mark), lead guitarist Olli and keyboardist Captain formed this band in 2002 in Helsinki, Finland. Let me tell you now how dedicated they were.

...Mark sold everything he had to invest in pursuing the love of his life, music, with his buddies Olli and Captain. He moved into his friend's basement, when he couldn't keep a place of his own any longer. The guys then built a little studio of their own in Captain's living room for the recording and producing sessions, and kept an office in Olli's beat up old car.
