zico: Hello ryan
zinedine zidane: hello ryan i am zinedine zidane
Karina: A big hello to the greatest Man utd player!!
NicoleMZ: Hello Ryan from here in Jordan (Middle East) We are all MAN U supporters!!
Gobby: Good afternoon Giggsy! life long fan of your work!
shin: U alright ryan u are the greatest winger ever
srinibas: Hello Ryan iam from INDIA.we all love u out here
Ryan Giggs: Afternoon everyone!
photin: what do you think will be the greatest challenge for Man Utd in achieving its treble season?
Ryan Giggs: With cup games there is an element of luck involved so for us to get the treble we're going to need everything to go in our favour. You need fortune with injuries and things like that but we will give it our best shot.
dufc: if you could pick one player in the world to play for manchester united who would it be
Ryan Giggs: Over the last ten years I'd have to say Zinedine Zidane. It would have been fantastic to play alongside him in a United shirt. He was a quality player.
exorder: What has United ment for you along the years and ,are you thinking of managing United in the future, after Sir Alex retires ?
Ryan Giggs: I've played for the club since I was 17 so it means an awful lot to me. I was a United supporter and now I have goals to win trophies for the club. It's been a pleasure to play for the club all these years. I'm not thinking that far ahead in terms of being a manager!
Zole: Hello Ryan, is there anything you would do differently if you could start again your career?
Ryan Giggs: Probably not. I think the mistakes you make are all part of growing up and they have helped me learn. Generally I've been very lucky and have enjoyed a great career. I wouldn't change anything!
marco666: In champions league do you prefer to play the first leg home or away?
Ryan Giggs: It all depends on the first leg. At home first you have to keep a clean sheet and away from home you need to get that all important away goal. The away goal is key to winning European ties. As for what comes first, I'm not bothered to be honest.
marco666: Do you think that Milan is more dangerous when they defend and then counter attack or when they have the ball in hand and push?
Ryan Giggs: Milan have the players to counter attack well with Kaka and Seedorf. They float around looking to exploit gaps. With the experience they have at the back they can sit back and defend comfortably and hit teams fast on the break. That is their main strength I feel.
shin: Ryan you've played with so many great plyers in your time as a professional but who is the best player you've ever played with?and why?
Ryan Giggs: Very hard to say but Paul Scholes has got to be up there. He's getting better and better and players can't get near him in training, Cantona and Keane were also top quality footballers to play with.
NicoleMZ: How do u feel knowing that you might play Chelsea 3 trimes in 15 days? do u feel you are ready?
Ryan Giggs: I don't think about the Chelsea games yet. I won't concentrate on what might or might not happen. I'll look forward to each game as it comes and when the Chelsea matches arrive I will relish them.
bob: why do you have the number 11 shirt
Ryan Giggs: Left wingers are normally number 11 so I've normally worn that. A few times I've worn 7 but I like 11. The club nominates a player to each name and number and I've stuck to it!
glasgowbhoy: You had a testimonial a few years back, why did you choose Celtic
Ryan Giggs: In all the testimonials I've been involved in the best have always been against Celtic. The fans create an amazing atmosphere and it always makes for a proper game of football when Celtic play you. Competitive testimonials are great. That night was fiercely contested!
phil gee: Do you expect the Milan semi-final to be as close as the tie against Juventus in 1999?
Ryan Giggs: I think it will be close like 99. Most semi's are close and these are two very good experienced teams who know what's at stake. It will be close fought.
phil gee: Where does the performance against Roma rank amongst the UEFA Champions League games you have played in?
Ryan Giggs: The Roma win was the best night in the Champions League I've experienced at Old Trafford. The result gave us a great feeling.
Amrinder: What other sports do you play Ryan?
Ryan Giggs: I play a lot of golf but that's it really. At training we sometimes play basketball and cricket in the gym but apart from that we're not allowed to play too many sports. Golf is the one I play seriously.
Makaay: Tell us about your feelings from the 99 final and if you think manchester can win it this season
Ryan Giggs: The 99 memories are sketchy. It was a bad game until the last two minutes! All I really remember is the two late goals and the mad celebrations afterwards. It was quite a night. I wish I could remember more.
ECFCJoe: Giggsy, who have/are you voting for for pfa player of the year?
Ryan Giggs: I voted for Didier Drogba. I think he's been the best player this season outside our club.
Glory Man Utd: who is the best player you've ever faced
Ryan Giggs: Again I'd have to say that Zidane is the best player I faced. We beat Juve at home but he did not give the ball away all night, he was absolutely top drawer.
Glory Man Utd: What do you think about Cristiano Ronaldo?
Ryan Giggs: Ronni is flying this season. He's probably the best in the world right now. At his age and as a winger he is nothing short of brilliant.
Sean St Ledger: What's your favourite pre-match drink or meal?
Ryan Giggs: Spaghetti Bolognese and water or lucozade to drink
Chairy Hest: talk us through a typical matchday in the life of Ryan Giggs morning , pre match and evening..
Ryan Giggs: In the morning get uo at 8.30, go back to bed after breakfast, Watch TV, read papers or magazines and chill out until we have to go to the ground. I do stretches before the game and then play! After the match I relax and go to sleep! Sometimes I will go for a meal with family and friends if I have the energy!
daydreamer: so if u r asked to pick one between pele or maradona, whom ll u pick?
Ryan Giggs: I'd pick Maradona. I've seen more of him than Pele and he won a World Cup more or less on his own in 1986. He was left footed too, and I admire all the great left footed players, He was awesome.
Ryan Giggs: Thanks everyone for joining me for the webchat. I've enjoyed it a lot. All the best, Ryan.
Moderator: Thanks guys for some top notch chat! Some fantastic questions which put Ryan in a great mood and had him quite literally skipping with joy on his way out of the Talk Football bootroom. Will he have a similar spring in his step after the semi-final with Milan? Join us for the semi-final chats and we will find out...bye for now!
