I taught this year 6 girl maths once for two hours. i was supposed to be revising fractions/decimals/percentages with her. there was this question: what percentage of 1kg is 37g. i told her "ok, you have to put 37 over a kilogram, which is 1000g, and then multiply it by 100, right?" she nodded
then i asked her "so, what do we multiply 37/1000 with again?" and she said
"25?..." i couldnt believe it...had to force myself to not laugh. |
