Fort Lalbag :

Location: It is 4 km away, to the South-West of the center point of Dhaka City , under the Lalbagh Thana, near the Buriganga River.
Brief History: The construction of the fort was finished in 1678 AD by prince Muhammad Azam. But before he could finish the work he was withdrawn by Aurangzeb. Haista Khan(Muhammed Azam’s descendant) did not continue the work. Shaista Khan’s daughter Bibi Pari (Lady Fairy) died here in 1684.
Ahsan Manjil

Location: It is located at Kumartoli of Dhaka on the bank of the Buriganga.
Brief History: It was the residential palace of the nawabs of DHAKA. It was called the Rang Mahal of Sheikh Enayetullah, a landlord of Jamalpur. French bought it from his son Matiullah, and made it their trading centre. Khwaja ALIMULLAH made it his residence after purchasing it from the French. Nawab Abdul Gani made the beautiful palace in 1872 and named it after his
son Khaja Ahsanullah.
Temple at Sonargaon

Location: It is situated in Narayanganj under Sonargaon Thana, 29 km to the west of Dhaka City. It is situated on the northern side of Chittagong-Dhaka Road , Mograpara Crossing. Bus will drop you on the Mograpara Crossing and then you can take a Rickshaw and reach your destination- Sonargaon.
Brief History: In 1338, Sultan Fokruddin Mobarak Shah declared Sonargaon as his empire's capital. His vast empire was scattered over 1700 square miles. During the reign of Isha Kha, Sonargaon was a significant place.
The weavers of Sonargaon became important, as they could make one of the finest clothes in the world called Muslin. Hundred yards of muslin could go through a finger ring. It turned out to be an important trade center as lots of products were imported around Asia from here. It is also the witness of some tragic history. Sultan Giasuddin killed all his brothers except Nasiruddin. Sultan Giasuddin was also killed here. King Gonesh killed thousands of foreign Sufis. In 1281 Sultan Bolbon hung hundreds of people who protested against him
