it is called 'bystander apathy' which is a psychological state present in all human beings. u see a situation like that where someone is crying for help, u observe it .. nd then u walk away because u think someone else is going to take care of it. u don't need to intervene. this happens a lot in big cities but is less common in rural areas where everyone knows each other.

as for me, to the most, i would feel sorry. if i pick up that one baby, then imagine .. if i see 20 more babies like that on the street. what would i do then? pick them all up nd put them in my house? do u think in reality that is possible? for that i would have to open up a school or a foster home nd i am not financially stable either. so really, tell me the logic behind picking up the baby . |
