EXCALIBUR
A bit about the band:
Two die hard Metallica fans Anabeel and Waseq have been jamming (informally) for some times before realizing that they should have a proper band with a dedicated lead guitarist and a good drummer. Drummer was not a problem because childhood buddy Shaan was quite a drummer (at least they thought he was!) Finding a metal-head guitarist was quite hard. Yeah I know that sounds quite unbelievable in an era when there is a guitar in almost every house in the city. But yeah....they had no idea where to start the search from! Luckily a good old coaching pal Tawsif knocked Waseq on msn one day and proposed the idea of forming a band without having any preconceived notion about Waseq's plans. So they fixed a date for jamming and all 4 got together n started playing...everything clicked and the band was formed.
A bit about the Name:
Waseq came up with the name so let's hear what he had to say
" I was in class 4 when we read this book called King Arthur and The Knights Of the Round Table". King Aurthur had this super powered sword called The Excalibur! Back then I had an imaginary world of myself where I already won over hundreds of battles using The Excalibur! As time passed i grew up and naturally my imaginations disappeared and i forgot about the Excalibur. After forming the band we had a hard time finding a name. Strangely enough I recalled my childhood fantasies one day and remembered The Excalibur...yess, i thought....maybe i never had the sword....but why not a band?...yep thts how I came up with the name.....silly huh?? - I wouldnt disagree
