Sharing your hopes,
Your joys, your cares.
And I will still warm your heart on the
Cold winter nights.
Sometimes you will feel me as you pass through the crowds,
You'll brush my spirit and know
You do my heart proud.
When ever you stop in your tracks,
Close your eyes, and you will see clearly....
I am still with you...loving you.....
My bf dedicated this poem to me 2 birthdays ago .. I like it a LOT .. hope you guys do too .. |

the blue,and the dim,and the dark cloths,of night,and light,and half light
i would spread the cloth under your feet
but i,being poor, have only my dreams
i have spread my dreams under your feet,,
so,tread softly, because you tread onto my dreams

My arms about you tight,
Holding you up close
All thru out the night.
To know that I am there
And never away far,
That I will remain
Where ever that you are.
That you could press back
Into my warm embrace,
And feel my soft touch
Warm against your face.
Or you could shift your hips
And press against me tight,
To feel my body's heat
And my lips kissing you light.
I wish that you could hear
My softly whispered song,
To lull you into sleep
For it's here that we belong.
That you could hear me say
All you need to hear,
As I tell you of my love
Whispered soft against your ear.
And you could feel my breath
Warm against your skin,
As I let my presence beg you
To let this true love in.
I wish that I could hold you
And whisper long into your night,
Never would you wonder then
As I held you to me tight... |

For me to profane it,
One feeling too falsely disdain`d
For thee to disdain it.
One hope is too like despair
For prudence to smother,
And Pity from thee more dear
Than that from another.
I can give not what men call love;
But wilt thou accept not
The worship the heart lifts above
And the Heavens reject not:
The desire of the moth for the star,
Of the night for the morrow,
The devotion to something afar
From the sphere of our sorrow? |

Of our meetings as epiphanies,
Just we two in all the world.
Bolder, lighter than a bird's wing,
You hurtled like vertigo
Down the stairs, leading
Through moist lilac to your realm
Beyond the mirror.
When night fell, grace was given me,
The sanctuary gates were opened,
Shining in the darkness
Nakedness bowed slowly;
Waking up, I said:
'God bless you!', knowing it
To be daring: you slept,
The lilac leaned towards you from the table
To touch your eyelids with its universal blue,
Those eyelids brushed with blue
Were peaceful, and your hand was warm.
And in the crystal I saw pulsing rivers,
Smoke-wreathed hills, and glimmering seas;
Holding in your palm that crystal sphere,
You slumbered on the throne,
And - God be praised! - you belonged to me.
Awaking, you transformed
The humdrum dictionary of humans
Till speech was full and running over
With resounding strength, and the word you
Revealed its new meaning: it meant king.
Everything in the world was different,
Even the simplest things - the jug, the basin -
When stratified and solid water
Stood between us, like a guard.
We were led to who knows where.
Before us opened up, in mirage,
Towns constructed out of wonder,
Mint leaves spread themselves beneath our feet,
Birds came on the journey with us,
Fish leapt in greeting from the river,
And the sky unfurled above...
While behind us all the time went fate,
A madman brandishing a razor.

And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;
How many loved your moments of glad grace, 5
And loved your beauty with love false or true;
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face.
And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur, a little sadly, how love fled 10
And paced upon the mountains overhead,
And hid his face amid a crowd of stars. |
