What should be the ideal duty of a GOLPO moderator?

Guys, time to make golpo a democratic one now. Golpo should be by the members, for the members and of the members. I think till now, the moderators and supermoderators set their own rules and duties. Time for Golpo members to set the ideal duties for them now...

So keep listing...what should be the ideal duties of a Golpo moderator?

They should not be very hard on members...they should understand that members are more precious than anything else in golpo and also they should not discourage any member or shut any member up directly or indirectly. They should correct the mistakes of a member (if the member is mistaken) but should not probably make fun of the members all the time. They should not be prejudiced in general.

A little off topic! I'm not certainly sure about this thread Is this just gossip or constructive criticism? If it is constructive criticism then the thread should be in Comments & Suggestion section. Anyway my reply below might seems a little off topic but that's all I have got

How about 'Member should read & follow the Forum Rules first' as Golpo is by the members, for the members and of the members. If they properly follow the rules then Staffs don't have to be strict or hard on members anymore as we all know they are more precious than anything else in Golpo.

I think Staffs are not some kind of robot who is only programmed to serve 100% perfect service. We can do some mistakes sometimes. But that doesn't mean we are wrong most of the time. Member should see us as a friend or at least as a person, not as Staff.

Anyway I don't think Golpo is for/by/of Icy or friend_ or anyone else. The fact is we are for/by/of Golpo. We aren’t Golpo’s identification. Golpo is our identification

Anyway Golpo'r developer hishabe ekta kotha bolte ichha hochhe onek. Eshob thread dekhle amra ekta kothai mone pore 'Kola chilsosh ken bujhai de'

Lastly we know that members have got lots of 'Moderators should'. We will try our best to follow these. But we have got only one simple 'Members should'. Just follow the rules That's all we are asking. Hopefully you guys will try your best as well

Edit: Here is a little explanation of forum rules for all the Staffs & Members of Golpo. Suppose someone posted in 'Things You have Noticed in the Forum' that 'Icy ke onekdin por post korte dekhlam'. That is pure on topic. But if I replied 'Ar boilona vai onek busy chilam', then this is where I broke the forum rules. 'Adda Thread' is for these kinds of posts. Not the 'Things You have Noticed in the Forum' thread. Anyway Golpians lets have fun off course but keep forum's quality at least

Its funny bcoz we wanted more inputs from members but all I can see is that the moderators are the ones who are more interested in this thread....thats kewl actually.

@Icy: If you think this thread should be in the suggestion section then please move it there. I really did not mean to criticize anybody here, my sheer purpose was to have some fun getting input from members about mods. But thanks that you brought out the topic of constructive criticism. However, I am not sure whats the problem of having this kind of thread..I mean what did you mean by saying "kola chilla ken bujhaye dao". I am telling you AGAIN..I did not mean to attack the moderators by this thread.

And ya , I can see kivabe offtopic dekhe o mod ra mukh bujhe thake, So kind of them. Actually member der dekha dekhi tara o ajkal offtopic post kore felen, ata tader upor member der influence naki tara nijera biased I am not sure. No wonder, moderator are getting their rages about members out there in different posts without any clear reason.

I hope we will get more input from members with the moderator's input here.

offtopic post er sathe biased er kono relationship pelam na.mod ra jodi members der k kono specific reason show na kore blame kortese thn baba u tell me a specific reason where the mods became biased?
here we all mods r raising our voice bcaz whn a member suppose u say that "mod shouldn't be biased" that means mods here are biased right?so dont we have the right to oppose ?I bet being a member of this forum we have the right

nd last bt not least,wut ever moderator ,super moderator,admin or developer above all they are members of this forum!so if sometimes members can post offtopic thn hehe they are members too carrying greater responsibilities

so whn ppl like u accuse moderators,I suggest them to be more specific otherwise mods are bound to go offtopic to oppose.
