From now on we are putting a stop to any religion related topics on Golpo.Net. The answers to the most probable questions about this decision are provided below.


Q. What do you mean by debating on religion ?

A. The presentation of any particular ideas “for or against” religion or a series of logic and counter logic which can any way be related to any particular religion or religions in general.


Q. Why religious debate is being banned ?

A.
• Golpo.net is trying to ensure a friendly environment where people of all religions can post.

• Golpo.net has members from many beliefs. So, some members could feel uneasy when a debate on religion is going on at which they cant participate or share their opinions.

• Golpo.net is a promised place to ensure a friendly environment.

• Religious debate can cause people feel upset and insulted, when someone is presenting any information against his/her religion. And it is not in our intention to upset anyone.

• Religion is a matter of belief, not debating.


Q. Is this a move against freedom of speech?
A. No. Golpo.net is never against freedom of speech. But only to maintain a better and friendlier environment, this decision had been taken.


Q. What should members do ?
A.

# Plz try to use examples, facts and fiegures while debating

# You should quote from religious books, only to make a statement or explaining only your stand and beliefs. But not as a part of debate or arguement.

# Religious topics may only exists for information basis. But not as a topic where a debate is possible. Example : Threads like "5 Pillars of Islam" or "Mary Christmas" ... but never as " debate on jihad " or " should we bury or burn "

u cant really make someone convince of your ideas in forum debating, if the debate topic is related to religion.

for understanding, use information type threads ... but never as a debate

I support this decision, I stopped debating in this type of topic, and probably a cause of me being irregular, good decision by the management.

Ami mone kori Jara kono religion er manush, tara kokhono nijer religion er kichu ke sondeho korte parena.

Religion akta proved belief jar jar kache. We cant debate on this issue.

Plz bear in mind that all the religions are identical in some facts- e.g. good deeds, lieing, honesty,chastity etc. so religion thake ref tanle hurt hoyat dukkho jonok.

sorry for the confusion, actually its good if u give reference, I have learnt many things from these refs, I am just opposing debating with religious issues, there are other specialized forum that deals with those kinda stuff
