I hope this topic hasnt been raised yet in this section Well, are you with or against Capital Punishment? For those who dont know its exact meaning, it means sentencing people to death instead of keeping them in jail perpetually. I'm gonna post a poll with this thread...please share your opinions and thoughts..they are needed

i am against it.

the criminal should be used to our benifit. to the country's benifit. the criminal should be turned into in-house ( in-jain ) manpower, thus, giving the country some service one way or the other.

I really think Capital Punishment is unnecessary. Punish murderers and criminals by killing them?? I don't think that is a wise way to deal with things. I say putting criminals who deserve it into Jail for the rest of their lives and make them work in prison. Can't a criminal change anyways? Might he not learn from his mistakes and ask for forgiveness? I'm not saying he should be given his freedom, but maybe after years and years he might learn something..who knows?

capital punishment should be for:
murderers
rapists
acid-throwers
traitors
foreign spies(enemy spies to be exact)
domestic terrorists and people working against the state

If some one throws ACID to some one else and gets capital punishment for that, he/she never knows how terrible the victim felt. Therefore my thoughts are the criminal should receive the same amount of Acid at the same place he/she threw at and feel the consequences.
Rapist should receive the same thing he did, as I understand the punishment said Shul, of course till death. If, I wish he feels the painnnnn.
And finally murderers....should immediately deserve capital punishment, the only way to feel how it was to the victim, if it was a deliberate murder and the relatives of the victim want the murderer to be executed the same way he/she did. Or if the relatives wish to take blood money from the murderer that could lead them to a better future, they can do that as well. One thing more unwilling murder shouldn’t be accused and can be solved by Blood money.

More gele to shob koshtoi shesh! eta kemon shasti holo? We r rather helping them to get away with everything. Tar chaite jabojjibon karadondo diye Ondhokar ghupchi cell e fele rakha uchit--no contacts with neone, no contact with the outer world. And those who commit such a crime don't care about dying. Jodi oituku bhoy o thakto crime korar agey ekbar holeo ontoto bhabto. Er consequence ki hobe ta niyeo onutopto thakto. If he dies, he gets away with everything. Borong jotodin beche thakbe tar shasti takey bhog korte hobe. Repentance nd isolation will eventually destroy him frm inside. Btw, I don't like torturing people. It doesn't make us any better. And if we want to put dat criminal to death we are doing the same thing--committing murder. What difference does it make? Its just an organized revenge that is supported by the majority. If a guy kills someone to take a revenge on his brother's murderer it is a crime. And if we kill this guy to take action on his crime it is called capital punishment!?
