do violent video games cause violence/crime?

recently a 13 year old kid in China jumped of his 15th floor apartment after playing World of Warcraft for 36 hours at a stretch. later, the parents realised that it was a very violent game and that it might have led their son to take such a drastic measure, which is still unclear as to why he did it. then after a little research they found out that the actual games packages in the US and other countries have the Warning : NOT SUITABLE FOR KIDS OF AGE OF 13 YEARS AND BELOW, but did not have that warning on the game packs in China. now they are suing the company Blizzard Entertainment for the loss of their kid's life.

whose fault is it that the kid died? the kid's fault for playing too much? the company's fault for not putting the warning up? the parents fault for actually letting their son play for 36 hours at a stretch?

i say no cos even though video games may have some small influence on a persons behaviour, it doesnt cause the person to act violent toward others or commit crime since it is the individuals choice whether they will perform these acts... video games are a form of entertainment and do not purposely influence or persuade a person to do watever he sees in the game in real life and the people playing the games should know that games are meant to be fun and enjoyable...
