regarding this topic..i strongly in favor of this..however, SOME rules should apply..for example..i definitely want someone to pull the plug if i am ina vegitate state and becomes a burden to people around..but everyone should make it out in a will ..just donating organs

errr ... so are you telling everyone to live without their kidneys, liver ... or maybe their heart even ?
i really don't see it as an act of cowardness. in fact, it's generosity. i ... no, EVERYONE needs their organs to survive in their life. organs in our body is god-gifted. when we die, we won't be needing them anymore. so, if we give it away, then it's an act of greatness because it will help another person live to their full privilege.

Ashfaq, U got it wrong..in our religion.."selling" our body parts-kidney,heart,eyes,hands,legs etc is considered haram..but sheita bola hoy nai ekhne.."donating" er kotha bola hocche..If u r not taking any money for it thn it's not considered haram

u can take money although you are dead?
I just wanted to say that, if u r so into donating organs, then why dont you donate them while you are alive? it would be more heroic and the guy who gets your organs will live more. you are taking the full fun of your organs while you are alive, and when you have no need of them, i mean after your death you are donating it. but may be last few years of your life had no need of your organs because u sat idle in an empty room watching tv progs

last comment i wanna make to Ashfaq -- i wanna live a happy healthy life without too many complications. suppose i do donate a kidney when i am 50. but unfortunately, after a few years when i get old, my other kidney fails ... what am i supposed to do? go asking for somebody else's organs ... so that they have to face the same fate as me? suppose i don't get another kidney ... so, won't i regret on my deathbed?
... i don't want that. it's better to just give it away after i die.
nd also, this is true je ami karo organ or blood accept korbo na unless it's one of my family members or my boyfriend/husband. i have a big time issue with this thing.
