therefore a piece of paper is more important than a person's emotions. this is a social crime on an individuals freedom of expression! what an interesting irony because the society itself is made of that individual, among others, and fails to safeguard his/her freedom. i guess you could say that the society is protecting his/her spouse's rights. while protecting one's rights we encroach upon another's!!!
