brutus did what is considered to be the worst form of crime in most religions and societies today, due to his ideals. But the reverse statement of that would be that say a muslim girl has premarital sex...and the father finds out and kills her, due to his ideals. The question is how we represent it.
Julius ceasar did no harm to his people and under his helm his land conquered nearly all of the known world. he was extremely popular with the people. why was he killed. Sure he had his flaws, such as having realtions with Cleopatra, who about half his age. But he never committed any crime, consciously or unconsciously
true he did break constitutional laws for power, but so did Nixon and so does Bush and so did F D Roosevelt and so did Harry Truman. All of them did 'unconstitutional things'. The latter 2 for the better good and former for power.
