What ever the brain can or can not that does not actually proves anything..WhY ? allow me... a person's working ability depends on how he or she uses the brain...It does not depend on its structure... So if a lady wants she can make good progress in technology... NOw let me give u some points... I met a girl in a party at Dhaka club who is Hacker...my khalato bon loves new technoz..very much.. in our NSu girls r doin much better than the boys... in ETE on an average... NOw lets talk abt the present programming or invention sector....girls are Negligible...in number...!!!!.BRO... jus give them time..they have the power to step with us...males were always on the top.. never gave them the chance 4 centuries... they have been enjoyin freedom 4 only...couple of years... so GIVE THEM TIME>>> and may b one day they will open a thread..... DO we really need boys..with us...???

well , I have told already they are very negligible in number. Like , you would meet 5-7 hacker ( I mean some security tweaking agent ) , 25-30 boys loving technology, but you can get 1-2 girls on same field. I agree , In this subcontinent we haven't treated women with proper respect. But I guess things are not as bad as Asia in Europe/North America. But I seriously I haven't seen considerable amount of women in this line. I hope , situation will improve rapidly.

I have told this too. Not only in nsu , but also in universities like DU,BUET , girls are really doing well. But as I told before , I have seen their load of cgpa , but I haven't really seen those load of conceptions among 1% of them. Remember , still our education system doesn't bear the proof that , if you are owner of good result , you have crystal conception. Conception is something with no deal about result. But it's true, all of them are not same. Some girls are really doing very well conceptually.

well , I would like to see their advancement. I hope that day isn't far enough when there will be lots of female technology specialist.

Why not Force_Recon ? Don't you think , in previous thousands of years we made a hell of injustices to them ? We should try to help them in recovering.

and there is nothing to be a feminist. May be I sound old school , but still I am saying ..... our mother is a woman , our sister is a woman, so as our beloved one. We always care about them. Then Why dont we need more rights for them. And there is nothing called more equality. If its equal then it will be 50-50.

well nothing wrong being a feminist. Its just that majority of feminists don't work for equal rights.
since this thread concerns both women and women's education(kind of) I want to raise a question.
If girls are allowed to have free education in BD(correct me if I was wrong) why aren't boys allowed to?

What is equal right?
Nowadays in Bangladesh the so-called feminists are very active and they always shout about "equal rights for women". I'm not sure how they define "equal rights". I think the "equal rights" is a fair distribution of conveniences provided by the government among men and women. But now in the country I think its meaning is quite different. Women are granted huge supplementary advantages, whereas men are being deprived of their rights. For example, in the education sector, girls are studying free of cost and are also provided with scholarships, which is certainly a discrimination. The consequence of this discrimination is transparent to us. In the recent years girls are doing very well in public exams compared to the boys. Doesn't the country require good results from the boys as well? In public transportation seats are sometimes reserved for women. When they talk about equality why do they have extra benefits? Providing women with extra benefits will not pay well in the long run. The country will suffer as a result of this. So I urge the concerned authorities to reconsider equality.

well as I told before , I have some allergy with the word feminism. Feminism tells about equal right, but feminist leaders don't decline to take some odd advantages like separate lines for woman in bank. Actually this gives me a hell of pain ! I have gone to bank several times to pay my phone bill. All male are standing in a line , in one counter , for minutes. Suddenly a woman comes , goes to counter and pays her bill ! hey theres nothing wrong to stand in a line ! I appreciate separate seat in bus for woman but I can't support this.

I think taking these advantages actually exploiting their background.

sorry far away from topic, We were talking about women in technology. and surprisingly no woman hasn't post their view in this thread still........ interesting !
