Favourite sci-fi installment?

Points of note:

1) Preferrably include sci-fi novels of foreign origin in your reply. Although, I'm not a strong critic of deshi sci-fi (or at least I wasn't used to be), but recently they have become quite childing and repetitive. For example, Jafar Iqbal uncle..no more apocalyptic setting, cross species relationship, semi-translucent neo-polimer clothing and brightly red energy drinks or Robot Rebellions please

2) I'm looking for single novels, not a series. Although a serious won't be that much of a problem either.

* A few of Jules Verne's works
* Ring World
* Some of asimov's works
* Dune
* A few of H.P Lovecraft's works.

started reading foundation series of asimov a few years back,but couldn't find all the original versions and stopped.
