tishma is so creepy and irritating...recently i watched a t.v show she hosts,and it was scary almost...
but it doesn't mean i like salma,her voice hurts my ears a bit too.

@ Robin...eita music sense er bapar na. You'll be surprised, manusher ruchi onek typer hoi. Ami duita extreme case niye compare korsi. Salma is a very traditional singer while Tishma is very Western-influenced. Both are young. So i compared them to see what people really think! Dosher to kisui dekhlam na!!

i have to say, my idea of Tishma changed by 180 degrees after i heard her new 'Cholonar daba' album and watched her new tv show 'music jams'.

she has a great capability as a singer...in her classical songs she sounds like a bird and she's also a good songwriter...and the way she conducts her music show is impressive...though her british accent is a little bit alien to me (i'm accustomed to hearing American drawls all the time!), she actually comes from an educated background and always knows what she is talking about...unlike all the khat wannabes who host all the other programs and try to look 'western' but cant!
plus i have to admit that tishma has a nice dress sense and has good taste in music...i enjoy watching her show!

at the other end of the spectrum we have salma. while tishma is versatile and can sing folk and rock songs equally well, salma sounds best strictly for folk songs. i personally don't enjoy salma's style of singing and think she is a bit rough on the ears...i believe she is kind of overhyped.
but though tishma is the better singer of the two, she is probably a bit too polished and different to appeal to the common people, so maybe it is salma who has the higher appeal to the masses...you know, kind of like 'mumtaz'.

Tishma's voice isn't so bad. If she tries she can be a better singer ( offcourse with the lyrics that make sense, a huge change in her dress up, get up & ...)
Salma is a good singer. But I don't think as the winner of a musical idol contest , she is representing the people of Bangladesh.

tishma is da mst beautiful alien i hv seen so far.she has a sweet voice which can b used as a SOS alarm.... truly a beautiful voice.it touches ma heart deeply..luv her..rspct her..4m da bottom of ma heart...excellent talent..
