Golpo.NeT looking for few Moderator both global n local.. Plz read the instructions n rules bellow.. N if u found urself capable plz PM Icy/Nneel/darkcrunk/friend_..
Quote:
People we look at for mod must:
- Be active - As much as possible post every single day.
- Must be helpful in general before they are made a mod. Help newbies settle in. Direct folks to things they are
looking and the like.
- There are a page that includes all of forum rules, u can refer it to any user if u think its necessary.

Please keep in mind it is part of a mod’s job to keep their forum’s active and keep the conversation flowing. Members are going to follow your measure. If you aren’t posting, you can’t expect them to. This in turn does not mean you are required to participate in every thread in your forum. We get it, there are some topics no one is interested in.

Golpo.NeT would like to see all mods active in the Introduction forum. Get in there and let folks know that you are glad to meet them and you look forward to getting to know them. There is no better way to make and keep a good member than by making them feel welcome.

Any time you feel a member possibly broke a forum rule, but you are having trouble making the decision as to if they did or what to do about it, post a bit about it in the mod forum. It will go to open discussion. A decision will be reached as a group as to the course of action to take.

===================
The Moderator Handbook
===================

I. Moderator Conduct and Opening

The definition of moderator is simply one who presides over a meeting, forum, or debate. Your job as a moderator is to do just that; ensure peace and enforce the rules. As a moderator, you’re to act more mature than the other members. Constantly bickering in the forums will make other moderators and even administrators look down upon you. This moderator handbook is designed to teach you how to be a better moderator, and even rise in the corporate ladder.

II. Moderator Votes and/or Discussions

One of the laws of being a moderator is to NOT give out information discussed in the moderator forum. This information is not to be seen by the members until the administrators give the go ahead. If we wanted them to see all discussions, we’d converse in the announcements forum. Most of the reasons for this is the member opinions. If they know someone’s against a
certain issue they might develop opinions of this person, or they might even argue in the forums. We decide what’s best for the site- we might not all agree, but we’re a democracy, and majority will always rule. Never, EVER give out the results in a poll in the moderator forum either. IF a member is losing do not make him feel bad, NOR tell him the results. Instant demodding.

III. Warnings

This section is pretty straightforward, seeing as how we have a special topic for it in the moderator forum. When warning keep in mind the user must have three cautions first, by other moderators or yourself. This helps limit abuse of power. All members have a right to argue their case, so always hear it out. I can guarantee if you go into the conversation with the
‘I’m a mod and my decisions are final har har har!!!’ it will be shut down and you will be looked upon as an idiot. The administrators will review your warning, and if it is legit, it stays. You don't have to private message a rule breaker as long as you post in the thread that he/she broke a rule. Hopefully he will see your kindness, and stop doing what he or she did. Warnings can only be revoked by an admin.
How to Warn:
See around The Users Nick..u will find a warning bar with [-]-----[+] using it u can warn a user, put a note,pm user with reason..and etc
If someone asks you to tell them how many warnings they have, then tell them by looking in the Warning Log. This is allowed, as members are allowed to know how many warnings they have.

IV. Abuse of Power

Not that we expect you to have a problem with this, but you must be warned. Any moderator who abuses his or her power will be looked upon as ignorance to our staff and they will be demoded instantly, given a warning and possibly banned.

V. Extreme Absences and Inactivity

This is something we will not tolerate. Face it: Forever Forums have few rule breakers; you’re main point here is activity. We need to post in your forums and get the discussions brewing. An absence of more than two weeks is unacceptable. If your forums are active, then pick up another forum and get that one active too. Mods who keep their forums active and stay active
themselves will have a higher chance of recieving promotion.

VI. Fights and/or disagreements[FoG]

Well, let’s face it: we aren’t perfect. Well, you aren’t... But anyways, all moderators need to keep fights IN the moderator forum. Try not to even get involved in the Warzone, it makes you look immature. Talk out your problems, and everything will be fine.

*Never insult another member while doing your job. Many members enjoy play fighting and of course we cannot expect you
to be perfectly civil to people you can't stand all of the time. However, once you put on your "mod hat" you must be 100%
mature, diplomatic, and understanding. Insulting a member while doing your job will open up to a whole bunch of trouble. Unfair moderating, biased moderating, nazi, cruel, elitist - name the insult and a member will use it against you. Do not give members the fuel to use against you. Remain as calm and professional as possible.

Most issues deserve a warning over banishment. Never automatically assume someone should be banned. In most cases a user
simply was unaware that they were breaking a rule and all it takes is a polite warning(Req. is preferable firstly) from staff along with an explination on why there is an issue. Usually, the user will apologise and fix the problem right away. If after two warnings a user still ignores contact from staff depending on the severity of the problem a ban can be issues. Always discuss possible bannings with staff first!

HANDLING SITUATIONS

These issues are common on forum communities, thus we have listed here the usual reaction one should give. Most problems can be solved simply be talking to the member in a polite and understanding way! When all else fails, make use of the warning system as well as bringing up problems with the staff for discussion when necessary.
Thanx in advance..
Golpo.NeT Administration..

NB: Zero Tollerance For Power Hunger & Those who likes to practice Power/Access.
Adding as A Moderator Isnt Final. There will be 4 Weeks Time to Watch & Understand.
