Extremely funny movie, which does an extremely good job at parodying movies such as Saw, Saw II, The Village, The Grudge and War of the Worlds.

But with every installment of next venture expectations are always high, whether this will preceed the last one? or will it turn out to be most BOGUS. Scary Movie always been in the track of parodying box office hit Horror/ Thriller movies, like Scream, The Ring, The Sign, etc etc. For pastime, this is a must see movie. But, you have to see the original movies (that being parodyied) before you see the Scary Movies. Otherwise, the essence of this film will be meaningless.

However, with much said, let me quote some of the viewer's comment

It is a refreshing comedy to see, as the other scary movies, yet this film is much different than the others. There is not as much of the David Zucker "one liners" you would expect, a hint of the Wayans brothers mixed in, and a lot of the jokes run flat. One of the key problems with the film was that they tried to mix too many parodies into it, which took away from the story, and at times seemed just like one big jumble of plot lines and stories.
