Taste at The Westin Dhaka

The Westin is the latest posh entry into Dhaka's hotel scenario. It is the international hotel chain's most recent addition to this sub-continent. Opened in July this year, The Westin Dhaka is obviously adorned with a number of exciting eateries. Taste is one of those.

Taste is an all -day dining place. There are two entrances. Entry through any one of these would lead the guest to the stylish dining hall. Contemporary art works by both local and foreign artistes usher in a warm welcome. The crescent ceiling, coupled with the wooden floor make the place more beautiful. Warm and soft lighting and orchid twined vases add to the beauty of the place.

Since it is an allday dining, there are spreads (buffets) during the three meals along with a la carte. It is termed as interactive dining, since the diners have all the opportunities and means to interact with the chefs. The term interactive dining simply means that whether the guest goes to the food or not, the food will definitely come to the guest.

The chefs are the ones who usher in the food with all its taste and flavour, to the guests' table. These foods are different from those, which are spread on the buffet table. The buffet meal includes a wide variety of food segments like : The sushi bar, the noodle bar, the cold confectionary, the hot kitchen and the desert tray. Around 300 items are served everyday. The food varies from local to Indonesian, Thai, Chinese and Japanese. Since the oriental flavors dominate the menu, Taste can be regarded as serving Pan-Asian cuisine.

Taste also offers a unique feature : The Molteni Podi-um. It is the latest addition in the world of cooking, which allows the chefs to express and exhibit their creativity to their best. Origina-ting in France in 1923, Molteni is often regarded as the Rolls Royce of Podi-um cooking. The Westin Dhaka can proudly boast of being the first in this regard.

Taste is an all day dining outlet. Here the chefs are all set to serve their guests with utmost expertise, making sure that they are happy and content. With such a stylish décor and fabulous food and a wonderful team of people eager to serve the guests smilingly- Taste deserves to be tasted.

a small pcs of pastry costs 55.00US$ as well
