Khaleda will soon be appearing in a court.

She upped the ante in this cat-and-mouse game a week ago. While speaking to journalists, she did what has long been regarded in Bangladesh as the ''undoable'' - she publicly accused the defence intelligence agency, the DGFI, of meddling in politics.
Sheikh Hasina accused the military-run DGFI of ''arresting and torturing politicians'' and engaging in efforts to make or break political parties.
''It is not the DGFI's business to get involved in politics, to make or break political parties. What kind of intelligence activity is it, when the agency tortures people, and administers electric shocks?'' she asked.

To many observers in Dhaka, it was only a matter of time before she was arrested. Her supporters believe there is more politics than law behind her arrest.

what happens in a fair election ??? one of them(!) always gets to be the prime minister...so why bother ? election in Bangladesh sucks big time!!!

yes,I really want to see the backs of these two Alpha Females.Hasina was a much more capable administrator than Khaleda Zia but she has some serious flaws in some areas which really makes some people hate her.

what if there was an elected government right now?There would be mud slinging between the two parties ,they would be accusing each other for low electricity generation ,about the fertilizer crisis,and so on.there would have been turmoil in such a situation.Clashes between rival parties' gangs,etc.
no we really need some reforms.

there is a case against her ;its not like she was arrested without a reason.and everyone's monitoring the procedures if the trials happened to be unfair there would a huge hue and cry over it.
