MMA (Mixed Martial Arts)- any1 here into it?

who here is into MMA as in Mixed Martial Arts? its cult following of sorts among fight enthusiasts is now a lot more than that; MMA now is the fastest growing sport i the world; MMA promotions like PRIDE FC and UFC have made this sometimes very brutal sport quite popular among the masses

so people discuss favourite fighters, whether and/or how u train in any specific style (martial art), or MMA which is in itself a separate discipline, whether and/or how your into stand up fighting or a fan of grappling; anything to do with this great combat sport people talk!!

if any1 here is a practicioner of muay thai please talk about it; as far as i know there isn't 1 school in bd that's got Muay Thai as a discipline

so yeah people, discuss MMA as u c fit

THis is like Judo, But i think KARATE is much better in style. Four years ago I was active with a karate club. I follow "Shitoriyu". These kind of sports is very much helpful for health.

It incorporates all the Martial Arts disciplines: grappling (judo, catch wrestling, greco-roman, and of course BJJ) ; and striking (kyukushin, western boxing, tae kwon do and of course muay thai)

LoL it really is nothing like Judo that u make it out to be

and yes karate is great too

is ur discipline affiliated with shotokon / wado-ryu ? any similarities to kyukushin?

Yes shitoriyu is almost like shotogan, wadiryu.
The main difference between KARATE's discipline is in "KATA"
Shotogan has 17 katas and what I followed has 44 kata, but the basic things are similar.

The pix of MMA likes judo to me.
