GOOD ISP in DHAKA

hi i am from dhaka. i looking for a good isp in gulshan 2, baridhara area. i had zip's dalal's line and i gav it up caz i used flashget to dl and that made the whole bandwidht of the shared being used by me. i need a good internet line for per month 1000tk-1200tk. ppl from dhaka post info abt good isps. thanks.

ZIP's service has degraded. You can try Accesstel or RangsTel, they should have dealers in your area.

p.s - whatever ISP u use, its all the same : ) unless u get a dedicated conn.

well darkcrunk whose sevice do u use? do they offer service in Baridhara and Gulshan2,baridhara DOHS? accestel as far as i knw only offers corporate line>>> so i am still confused and frustrated abt a broadband line !

Hmm.. Bro.. Now-a-dayz most of ISP contribute their service to a single home user with limited bandwidth.. That sux kinda.. Coz no download accelerator.. N very poor speed in P2P.. Newayz u can't xpect a good line for 1000 or 1200 in BD.. U have to go for a dedicated line.. N abt fibre optical network.. Whole thing is nothing but a big crap.. Newayzsince u allready hav a welcome thread.. So I moved this thread in Technical Section..

no ISP can satisfy you totally. People all over the bangladesh is unsatisfied about ISP. Still I think ZIP is the best. But as you opposed about zip, you can go for Dekko , DNS , accesstel and others.

well..zip er onek nam sunsilam..bt i used a connection of zip for a long time..abt 6 months..bt to tell the truth..i was not satisfied..
changed my ISP last month..now i m using a connection of SkyNet..its cool..really cool..
d/l speed: 80KB (average)
u/l speed: 20KB (average)

prolly thats why i m gettin that much speed..

no .. thats not the reason why u get good speed : ) ..

i remember getting that speed with ZIP long time back. nothing changed now, except my ISP owner, that sick S-O-B, who is now sharing a 128 connection with over 50 ppl ... good luck bangladesh.


hey mak .. visit the Computer Fair 2006 at Novotheatre, if u have time. There are some internet providers there, u might want to tell them about ur problems

naaah... thats not the reason... therez nothing called a "direct connection" . You cant get the line from direct server s eth interface. You are atleast connected to a switch/router.

dyingsoul , one of my frnds is now living in malaysia. Hes now using 2mbit connection. one thing o mention here, hes a real tech geek and expert. He told me tht though hes using 2mbit connection ... he has some lag in particualr ports like irc and others. but in bd hes using a zip line , fortuantely corporate , 30 KBPS+ always and he hasnt any lag in any port.

so far I know , ZIP is a well configured ISP. If you r local provider purchases a lil link and try to distribute among huge pplz...it not ZIP , its the fault of provider.

seems like this topic is getting really hot . this is really an important subject and we shuldn't ignore this matter as the internet future in BD depends on it.
serial killer told abt his frd's zip connection. well buddy if u take a corporate line paying 70000tk per month and getting 30kB/s then that's rubbish. internet won't get popular in this way. that's y the cyber community is so tiny in BD. i would like to knw more abt the skynet connectoin mentioned in this forum. can u someone plz post detail info abt his connection?do they provide in Baridhara and Gulshan?
i will go to the computer fair this time caz i missed the last one.
