I Need Help About Sound Card + Sound System

One of my friends have bought an altec lansing 5.1 sound system. He has the creative live value sound card.

The Problem is he cant hear the sound from the center speaker. Other front and rear speakers are working well except that center one. I have tried a lot but can't a solution.

I have heard that this problem can be fixed by by chnging some options in creative player. But unfortunately this time also without having sufficient infos I couldnt do that.

he has found a crack for Windows Media Player named

csii_wmp_trial_plugin_1_4_3_0.zip

. But as this is trial version this only works for 15 secs.

If you have the solution of this problem or have the full version then plz post it here.

Creative Live Value Sound card..u didnt mention detailas about it..
is it soundblaster 5.1 ?



Possible Solution:1
make sure there are 5 i/o posr of the card...& the spkeaer have 3 female port..make sure that 3 femaleport connected properly with s/cards male port.

& creative s/cards utility have a built-in function--Diagonisis..use it from ur start menu....using this diagonisis u can be sure s/card detect all the speakr

From -Control Panel->Sound & Audio Device-> Pick thek speaker 5.1 sorround
now use the diagonisis...from start->Creative Soundblaster->Utility [something similar]

Re-Insatall/Repair Driver The S.card driver & during installtion ,pick the speaker "Sorrund 5.1"

S.card not supported 5.1 speaker.
u have to buy a new sound card

Alteklansing 5.1 sound system is tooooo expensive ,near about pro-s/system.

i had the same problem.. running 3 2.1 systems together parallely... it was solved by Solution 2
