So you know things about windows ?

do you know how to create a folder ?

ok ..lets test it.

Try to create a folder with name

ok , listen to me.

for creating a folder with name "con ( or else of above) " do the followings :

1. start menu

2. run

3. cmd/command ( any one choose , not both at a time

)

4. go to directory like C:\ or D:\ or else

5. Now type this and enter

md\\.\\c:\\con

ok now, see you can't delete this folder .... so for deleting you have to just , type the following in command prompt and enter

rd \\.\\c:\con

see , simple as water ...

now advanced readers look at this . you might have a hell of interest "what the hell is this"... so far I have found this in internet...

con means actually short version of console , com means communication port , lpt means parallel port identifier and so on. so when you create a folder name com , you eventually are creating an ambiguity. because when a data is supposed to go communication port folder ( which is virtually a system folder also named com) , then actually to which folder it will actually go ? the system folder "com1" or your created folder "com1" ? That's why Windows won't let you open a folder named con /com1/lpt1 or else..

then how could we open this ?

with a little sense of DOS , you would easily realize that , I have just created a network folder ,which has no deal with a single pc or host

btw, eta ki tomra jano ?

if u r using winXP then try this-

1. create a new notepad(text document) anywhere... mind it ... open a new file, not an existing one.
2. write there - "bush hid the facts" (omit the inverted commas)
3. save n close it.
4. now open it again n see.

Confused ? try writing anything else instead of that and see
