but frankly speaking.... I am not facing any problem. Monitored my running cpus at task manager.Its really negligible.

hmm.. whatwhy...I am using Zone Alarm Pro 6.1.744.001 and Norton AntiVirus 2002....may be due to version I am not facing any conflict !!

Dear }|Serial_Killer|{ , please do not count every one at the same measurement as urs,ur processor is a bit mid-high end.
every one do not have the same.
think here u guyz are discussing using a standard measure

ok , tell me one thing how many ppl in these forum do not use p4 grade processor. You can visit our another thread named your pc configuration in tech section and you can understand what is the situation.

I am taking here about mass ppl. Those who are using p3 , are very lil in number and rare. I cant cover here all the people under a discussion.

so what shud be the std measure you think now ?

A pentium-II & P-III (1.00Ghz ~ 1.8 Ghz) would be a nice n standard measurement.
plenty of classification of precessor...

intel/amd/motorola

raher intel itself have penty....
intel (differnt types of L1/L2 cache)
celeron (include n exclude L2 cache)
intel (512 l2 cache)
intel -hyper thread (2 types of cache/core)
intel 64 bit
intel dual

bla bla bla...

only p4 have enugh series...now p4 2.4Ghz or 3.8Ghz performance arent same at all man..

if u say only P-4 doest that stands for a STANDARD ,hence P-4 also plenty n plenty

despite all of this fix a PARTICLAR not p3 pr p4 mentioned the core speed like 2.5Ghz
that should be a standard
coz all the P4 series's performace arent same at all.

i think McAfee pc slow kore..i m usin McAfee v10 n SpywareBlaster..nothin else..bt tarporeo i can feel..pc iz runnin slow durin startup..startup theke sob disable kore dici..lav hoy nai..bt startup er ei prob chara normally workin good..
norton kokhono use kori ni..McAfee chara onno gulo k temon trustworthy mone hoy na..

I dont use any AV , I dont use any FW..

i have tons of spyware in my computer, but they dont bother me . . .. actually.. i dont use this computer for any other purpose than to just browse around ..

i have NIS 2005 in my laptop.. it takes care of everything.. i just wish i cud afford a registered full version.. using cracked currently .
