Default Dhaka is the 2nd dirtiest city in the world!!

It is official now. Forbes magazine has listed Bangladesh's capital city Dhaka at number two in the list of world's dirtiest city.

Mercer Human Resource Consulting ranked Dhaka the 2nd dirtiest city of the world. The survey covered 215 cities worldwide, comparing them in view of the air pollution, waste management, water potability, hospital services, medical supplies and the presence of infectious disease.

Azerbaijan’s capital Baku led with the highest score of 27.6, which was blamed on the oil production. Azeri Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry is going to contest the ranking, claiming that the expert conclusion of Mercer Human Resource is very ambiguous.

Baku is followed by Dhaka (29.6), Bangladesh, while Madagascar’s Antanananvo (30.1) is the last of the dirtiest trio. Canada’s Calgary (131.7) has the best rating on the list. The scores are relative to New York that has 100.

India's Mumbai at number seven and Delhi at number 24 in the list. Kazakhstan’s Almaty (39.1) has the ninth score, having done a bit better than Baghdad (39), where the wars and burning of oil deposits aggravated ecological environment.

i wouldn't have been surprised even if it were first on the list.
nevertheless, Dhaka is Dhaka to me and nothing else is comparable to it .
