how do you protect the darkness if your afraid of it?

Thanks to someone, i am not afraid of darkness anymore. I can now smoke ( or shud i say, FAG ) and talk on the phone in my roof, without being bothered by daemons, ghosts, white-robed-priests and green spiders.
