some survey in circa 2004 revealed that religion came first for identification.yet there are certain groups saying we should be secular and Bangladeshi first and then Muslim/Non-Muslim after.
what do you people think?should we identify ourselves as Muslims and our country as a Muslim country or rather should we identify ourselves as Bangladeshis and BD as a secular country?
identification makes impacts on political alignments, too. One of the sites that made me to start thinking about it. |

Yet, despite the brotherhood, pakistan got separated. so, this shows in the modern era, the brotherhood based on culture/nationality works more than religion.

take BNP and AL.There are strong ideological divisions within the country in both the normal citizens and the politcians. |

Promoting ourselves as a bangali doesn't hurt your religious feelings. Religion is such a sensitive thing , excessive dealing with this , may cause harm to it.
So leave religion for your own, for internal you. As a citizen , you should proceed with nationality. This is my personal opinion. |

1. Bangladeshi (as all of us blong to bangladesh)
2. Bangalee /tribal.
3. Muslim/Hindu/buddhist/christian...
COz while narratin my identity to someone else as i cant say that i am a human bein,in the similar fashion i cant say anythin else except "Bangladeshi". Then we can say that i am a bangalee. Last of all i can mention my religious identity. this is just for maintaininin international aspects. But as a person we may consider identity as per our perspectives. |

first of all bharat rakshak is a Consortium of Indian Defence Websites.
it is a string of propaganda websites, most likely administered by RAW[research and analysis wing] agents. it portrays pakistan and bangladesh as countries soaked in blood of minorities.......and does say nothing about the riots in gujrat,in which thousands of muslims were incinerated........ as indian police stood by.it talks nothing about the demolition of the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya by shiv senas'............hindu fundamentalists.......
my personal view is that the "the state should be separated from religion"
national identity can never be defined being hindu,muslim or christian...etc. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
