This emergency situation may last longer than 6 month. Our army could have taken the govt power but they they did not took it. This incedent increased the reputation of Bangladesh army, in UN and abroad.

I heard last goverments party is going for last desparate move, they are going advice the president to resign. Losing confidence in President Iajuddin Ahmed, BNP is lobbying for a new face in the presidency believing that a change might help it in the upcoming election. Iajuddin's last speech on Thursday night frustrated the BNP leaders and now they want someone 'more loyal' to them in the presidency.

A section of BNP leaders are making moves to change the president, who holds the defence portfolio during the tenure of the caretaker government with the authority of transferring and promoting the armed forces personnel.

armed forces(remember its not the army only,naval and air force personnel should also be given credit) played a decisive role in stabilizing the situation.I think the new government should stay alteast for a couple of months or 6months to correct the voter list and then hold the elections.
we need 'quietness' and calmness after the numerous blockades.
