A cigarette break

I hate to stay inside when my tank is hot,
As it gets so smokey day for all the shot.
So I go out and lean against a wall still stiff,
And lit a cigar, which was my comrade's gift.
I pass the lazy time waiting, by staring at a guy ,
Who is lying on the mud with separated thigh.
It struck me funny, that I can walk or blink or breathe air,
While the man, torn by my shell, can only stare .
