my vote still goes for 'shurjo jokhon rokto lal' and 'swadhinota ar poradhinota'. they have all the qualities an ideal short story should have.

well, I have one question ! I guess, Golpo had asked for stories, not necessarily a short one. So, I agree shurjo jokhon rokto lal is a very good perfect short story, but that is not a necessary condition.

I think best is shurjo tokhon rokto lal. As bhagshesh said, its a perfect short story. Usage of language, expression and concealed meaning, everything bring life to the story.
