আমার বেলি ফুল খুব পছন্দ। আমেরিকাতে আমাদের গাছের প্রথম বেলী ফুল। যেইদিন প্রথম কলি দেখি খুব করে ইচ্ছে করছিল ছবি তুলতে। কিন্তু সেই মুহুরতে হাতে ক্যামরা ছিলনা বলে তুলতে পারিনি। কিছুদিন যেতে না যেতেই ফুলটি বড় হয়ে গেল। এক সাথে দুটো ফুল ফুটেছে।

এই বেলী ফুলের পেছনে অনেক বড় ইতিহাস আছে। যা ঘঠেছিল শোচাগারে। যা মনে করতেই হাসী পাই আমার।

গত বছর ঠিক এই সময় আমি একটা অনুষ্ঠানে গিয়েছিলাম। সেখানে কিছুক্ষন থাকার পর আমি শোচাগারে গিয়েছিলাম ভাবীর সাথে। হঠাৎ করে দেখতে পাই একটা আন্টির খোঁপায় বেলি ফুলের মালা। আমি নির্বাক হয়ে তাকিয়ে রইলাম কিছুক্ষন।



এরপর আর না পেরে জিজ্ঞেস করে বসি। আন্টি আপনার খোঁপায় বেলী ফুলের মালাটা কি অলীক? হাহাহাহা। উনি আমার দিকে তাকাল...এরপর বল্ল না আমাদের গাছের ফুল। আমি আবার নির্বাক।

এরপর বর্তি প্রশ্ন কি হবে বুঝতেই পারছ? বেলী ফুলের চারা কোথেকে পেলেন? উনি বল্ল কেন ওয়াল মার্ট থেকে।

এরপরের দিন আমি আর দেরি করলাম না। ভাবী কে নিয়ে বের হয়ে পরেছিলাম বেলী ফুলের চারার সন্ধানে। ঠিকি অনেক খোঁজার পর পেয়ে গিয়েছিলাম আমার বেলী ফুলের চারা। কি যে আনন্দ আমার আর ভাবীর তা বলে প্রকাশ করা যাবেনা।

আজ সেই বেলি ফুল গাছে দুটো ফুল তাও আবার আমেরিকাই।
